Prompt++ Browser Extension

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 6, 2026

Prompt++ helps users save, organize, copy, and reuse prompt templates in the browser.

Data Stored Locally

Prompt++ stores user-created prompts, categories, tags, shortcuts, settings, favorites, and login state in the browser using chrome.storage.local.

Cloud Sync

Cloud sync is optional and only used after the user logs in. When the user saves a prompt to the cloud or uses shared library features, prompt data is sent to the Prompt++ cloud API to provide account storage and public shared prompt browsing.

Prompts marked as public can appear in the shared library. Prompts marked as private remain associated with the user's cloud account.

Clipboard Access

Prompt++ writes text to the clipboard only when the user clicks a copy button.

Web Page Access

Prompt++ uses content scripts on web pages only to detect user-defined shortcut triggers in editable fields and replace them with the user's saved prompt text.

Prompt++ does not collect browsing history.

Data Sharing

Prompt++ does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising, and does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising or profiling.

Limited Use Disclosure

Prompt++'s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
